What does Liaison offer
At Liaison, we have three core service areas. We offer assistance to families and students by providing counseling in school selection throughout the various levels of education. We also offer comprehensive assistance to independent schools in the development of special education (neurodivergent) programs.
Assist elementary, middle, high school students in finding independent schools that will properly support student’s learning needs.

Parent Interview to learn more about needs and preferences
Student interview (age appropriate) to get to know the
student as an individual
Review of psycho-educational evaluation and
guidance on interpreting results
In-depth research of schools throughout the US based
on location preference
Provision of letter of recommendation – clearly defining
the types of support the student needs
Assistance with admissions process
Consultation with professionals such as doctors and therapists
Follow-up appointments after placement (1 year from admissions)
Advising high school students in finding a post-secondary institution where they can further their education while continuing to receive effective support, including honors programs for gifted learners.

Initial Consultation to learn about overarching goals and
identify the school culture
Interviews with school administrators, faculty and
board members, parents to further understand the school culture
Presentation to the Board of Trustees
Program Development and Implementation include on-campus
visits throughout the initial academic year of development
Assistance in developing and implementing a program:
Creation of a mission statement that fits the school profile
Creation of admissions process that fits the school’s
philosophy (identify the types of learners who fit the profile)
Creation of documentation such as formal plans and financial docs
Creation of guidelines and procedures (handbook)
Professional Development to staff and faculty members
(available throughout the school year, per contract agreement)
Consultation with area public schools, psycho-educational
psychologists, and any other stakeholder
Creation of program fee schedule based on research of
comparable schools in the same geographical area
